After initiating economic reforms, China has become an economic superpower in only a few decades. The previously agrarian economy transformed into an advanced economy with the expansion of its manufacturing and especially the service sector.
China has become known as the "world's factory" because of its affordable labor costs, highly skilled staff, especially when it comes to MINT jobs, and low taxes and duties.
After COVID, some of these manufacturing activities move out of the mainland - mainly low-value production moving to neighboring countries with a lower salary structure.
But this will increase China's speed in moving up the value chain. Based on a high-skilled workforce and the wings of the concertina of considerable investments in technology, artificial intelligence, and robotics, it will continue developing and producing higher valued goods.
The new C919 that is now up in the air is one more prove to this trend.
