“Expats relish Thailand’s climate and low cost of living, which make it a top-rated destination to start a new life, especially for retirees. Accommodation is affordable and modern. The public transport and communications infrastructure are good. And you’ll enjoy a comfortable lifestyle in exotic surroundings. Thai people are friendly and accepting of ‘farangs’ (foreigners), although you may find it takes longer to develop strong relationships.”
