RCN Asia Advisory member Wayne Huang has received the YACHTING NEW ZEALAND Service Award, which will be presented at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron on Friday 12th November during the 2021 Yachting Excellence Awards. This is the first time that an Asian person has received such recognition.
To appreciate the importance, one must first understand that New Zealand sailors are considered among the world leaders in Sailing. Auckland, "City of Sails" is considered the heart and home of Sailing in New Zealand. It is the Auckland based Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron the is celebrating Wayne.
To rise to this level of recognition in Auckland, New Zealand, Wayne had to compete with the best and brightest from New Zealand, sailors with a lifetime of dedication to service excellence in the community. Congratulations Wayne!
Wayne is focused on bringing all generations of people and all cultures together into a multiculturally diverse and inclusive activity without borders. This is even more significant when we understand that some people are in conflict about the territory of waters. Wayne's leadership demonstrates that we can be respect of each other and the calm waters have enough room for everyone.
The human heart of great leaders who make up RCN ASIA's Advisory network can inspire people to come together across oceans. We can teach each other how to master the human nature of our journey together, while mastering how we respect the nature of earth itself.
The smooth waters of recreational sailing are a good metaphor for embracing a spirit of unity that brings us all together into the harmony of our humanity. SAILING INTO MULTICULTURAL LEADERSHIP
