A thin female teacher was teaching in a remote mountain village school. The food in the cafeteria was terrible, so she often went to a small village to buy eggs.
The seller was an old lady who lived by a few chickens, and she let the teacher decide a price. The teacher set a price of 50 cents/egg as she intended to be a small donor since it was about 45 cents/egg in her big city.
The old lady smiled and accepted the price with no bargains. The deal was settled.
After buying it for a while, the teacher felt that the old lady was really pitiful, so she unilaterally proposed to raise the price to 55cents. The old lady insisted on not raising the price… After a long stalemate, she finally accepted it.
One day, the teacher went to buy eggs as usual and encountered an egg seller bargaining with the old lady to collect all the nature-fed walking chicken eggs at a price of 60 cents. The old lady refused, ”…the eggs are for the thin teacher. She came far away to teach here. I hope that she will gain weight and stay long healthy to teach in our elementary school. The children need her!”
The teacher stood there frozen: the real donor was the old lady...
